A world heard
before it is seen.
Regional themes, weather studies and the small sounds that make a place feel inhabited. Pick a track to audition; only one plays at a time.
How these sounds fit the world
The regional theme should remain recognizable while weather and surroundings change its space, texture and intensity. Environmental sound carries most exploration; music enters selectively, leaving room for dialogue, tuning and broadcasts.
- Rain: sheltered percussion-like droplets and a softened score.
- Signal storm: broken reception and unstable texture without drowning out gameplay warnings.
- Forest / meadow: more enclosed and restrained versus airy and open.
- Caves / Vaults: longer reflections, lower density and deeper harmonics.
- Frozen Relay: long silences and thin distant notes; whiteout is a separate context.
- Dry Basin dust storm: an experimental proposal, not approved weather canon. The Choir Vaults sit beneath a dry lakebed, not an established sand-desert region.
The featured V3 score contains seven regional themes and a main theme, written after signal analysis of 17 official reference previews. It uses original custom synthesis and percussion, not the earlier General MIDI soundfont. Reference analysis measured spectrum, stereo width, onset density and energy over time; it was not a listening-based transcription. No reference recordings are sampled or hosted here. These remain auditions for listening feedback, not an approved final OST.
The seven context variants belong to V1: they are edits of the earlier regional renders with procedural ambience, EQ and echoes—not variations of the current V3 score, separately composed arrangements or adaptive stems. Earlier sketches, all generated SFX variations and existing tutorial/game-project audio are included separately.
No seamless-loop guarantee. Creature calls and NPC bleeps are synthetic interpretations, not approved character voices. No recorded actors or field recordings were used for the new pack. Soundfont licensing and listening/in-game checks remain necessary before shipping.
